Hot Runner Systems — HRS

HRS are components used in plastic injection moulds to channel molten polymer from the injection moulding machine into mould cavities while maintaining the material in a molten state through controlled heating. A typical HRS comprises a heated manifold, nozzles, heaters and temperature control components that enable uniform distribution of molten plastic within the mould.

  • Eliminates conventional cold runner channels, reducing material wastage
  • Cuts cycle time up to 20–25% (often double-digit reductions in multi-cavity tools)
  • Improves raw material utilisation and production consistency
  • Enables faster moulding cycles in high-volume manufacturing
  • Improves ROI and adoption across automotive, packaging, consumer goods, electronics
  • Manifolds — for uniform molten polymer distribution
  • Nozzles — for precise injection into mould cavities
  • Temperature controller systems — precision temperature control for moulding
  • Hot runner controllers — for process monitoring and control

The ability to provide moulds integrated with HRS enables composite tooling solutions rather than standalone moulds. This reduces coordination requirements for customers, improves compatibility, shortens installation and commissioning timelines, and enables single-vendor procurement. The in-house HRS capability differentiates Om Galaxy from mould manufacturers who depend on third-party hot runner suppliers.
